Keeping Your ID Card Protected With A Badge Holder

By Jack Blake

While working in a call center for a telecommunications company I received a badge. The name of the badge holder used was Proximity Card Badge Holder. The holder contained a retractable cord and it enabled me to affix it to my attire without having to stress about misplacing it.

This badge holder was durable and lasted well. Even with all the use I put it to, I never experienced any issues with it over the course of a year. I generally kept it in either my purse or pocket, along with various other things, and it never became damaged.

My supervisor carried the same badge holder model, which lasted for three years or more. He was much rougher on the badge holder than I was, and despite all the wear and tear, his badge holder held up well. The badge holder was useful to him because when he went on business trips, he still had to carry his badge with him, but because of the holder, he never once lost the badge.

One of the things I really enjoy about this model of badge holder is that they are see-through. When we came to work, we had to hold up our badges and get them scanned - it was very convenient that I never had to take the badge out of the holder. It was easy to just hold up the badge, have it scanned, and immediately be able to enter the building. People who didn't have translucent badge holders had to undergo the time-consuming process of going through a security check.

The great part about the Proximity Badge Card Holder is the price. My supervisor has ordered many badges at cost and said they are the only brand he purchases. We are employed by a large company and it is great when we can find such a good product at a reasonable price. If I owned my own business the only badge card holder I would use is the Proximity Card Badge Holder. My personal experience with the holder has been positive and I believe my employees would tend to agree. Because the holder is so thin and durable it is even able to be scanned through a badge reader.

One of the best things regarding the badge holder is you don't have to worry about losing your badge because it is secured to you. Even when the badge holder is placed upside down there is no concern that I might lose by badge. Due to the high costs associated with replacing a badge it leaves me with a little less to be concerned about. The holder also protects your badge from blowing away in the wind when walking to your car in windy weather. There would be no concern on my part that someone would be able to use my badge to break into the building and compromise the computers. This would put me in hot water and fortunately it hasn't happened due to the reliability of my badge holder. - 15784
