Look in the mirror, where did 2008 go?
Did you want to do something, but did not have the courage to try?
I'm not trying to pick on you. I found myself asking those questions, but I came up with the solutions to keep you fueled and focused.
The first step to meeting your goals is setting the right ones. See, resolutions should be challenging, but also realistic and achievable. You'd get better results faster with a goal that isn't tied to results. Once I learned how to set the right goal, I found a number of such "ninja mind tricks" that you, too, can use to psyche yourself to "stick with the program":
4 "Ninja Mind Tricks" I unlocked...
1. Small chunking
Break up your ultimate goal into smaller segments so you don't overwhelm yourself and you will find it more approachable.
2. A reward system
When you achieve something noteworthy, give yourself a reward to celebrate the moment. If you're slacking, withhold all rewards until youre back on track.
3. Have a game plan
Strategize how you will reach your goals. Be sure to write your rewards for each level that brings you closer to the ultimate goal.
4. Accountability tactics
Allow your new years' resolution to be public knowledge to the people close to you. The ones you trust will motivate you to stay the course and make you responsible. - 15784
