Learning More About Your True Self

By Carol Ann

A lot of women have so many roles to maintain in their life, if they were to be taken away, it would be hard to imagine what would be left standing. Of course, we are happy to do all the roles required of us, and to feel a sense of accomplishment in them.

But, these roles do not define who we are. The roles change, and this usually thrusts us down a new road.

Waiting until some life changing event forces itself up on you is not the most opportune time to learn about yourself. Making an effort to know yourself along the way will enhance your life as well as the lives you touch.

Naturally, a wife and mother will put everyone else's needs before her own. It seems difficult to even know your self when living day to day like this. This leads to low self value in a person's life. You have to see yourself as others do and value yourself as the ones in your life do.

The most simple concept is that if you value yourself, you will value your marriage. Let your true self out, and relish in your gifts, and you will grow in all areas of your life, including your marriage. - 15784
