By Jason King

So you've found the perfect online dating site. Now what? Online dating has become a method of meeting someone for millions of singles worldwide. For a lot of individuals, it has proven to be rewarding and fun. On the other side of the coin, many singles have ben victims of fraudsters and liars. It doesn't matter how long you've been using an online dating service there are some things you should never forget.

Never give out all your personal information. Basics such as your age, gender and location are normal to give away. Other information such as your address and phone number should be kept private until you feel you have net someone you can trust.

Most singles you'll meet online will be honest, but you could bump into someone who isn't, and is just after someone for financial gain, and you could be that person. When you meet someone don't give away all the information about yourself in one go, give a little and receive a little. Holding back a bit of information will also create some attraction in you. This will not only add a thrill to your conversations but will also make you more intriguing, and make them keep coming back for more. Always be yourself, online dating is pretty much the same as dating face-to-face. Don't try and be someone you're not just because they can't see you. Everyone can spot a faker. Besides, it's easier to be just your pleasant true self. Remember, first impressions last.

After you've been chatting to someone for a while, or swapping emails, even text messages, and you're ready to meet them in person, what next? Your first date should be somewhere quiet. Find somewhere comfortable where you're going to feel relaxed. Make it a group date, or bring along a friend if it makes you feel safer.

Don't overdress for the first date. Something simple and comfortable will be more than enough, but at the same time, don't under dress. A lot of people still get the flutters on a first date, which is pretty normal. Forget about trying to make everything perfect. Have fun and be yourself. A first date often indicates whether there's chemistry and compatibility among a couple. If things turn out well then maybe you can meet again at a later time and place.

If you feel that the date didn't go well then don't pretend there will be another date. Be honest at the very least and let the other person know if he or she should expect to hear from you soon. When it comes to your decisions, be smart with them. Make new friends, hook up with someone. The dating world is a fun place to meet new and interesting people. Stay safe and have fun! - 15784
