Do You Know If Your Fiance Is A Scammer?

By Art Saborio

I know you have probably heard this a hundred times, but never send money to someone you have not met and always meet your fiance many times before trusting her with anything.

Marrying someone from another country is stressful enough, yet you must understand she will need to see your entire life. This includes bank accounts, tax returns etc. She will need to carry and present these kinds of documents to the embassy officer during her interview. So make sure you trust this person fully.

I have heard a lot of stories of people trusting too much when it comes to dating overseas. Currently there are over 1000 black listed women from just Russian and former Soviet Republics.

A "Blacklisted Russian Woman or a Blacklisted Ukrainian Woman" is when a woman from a country other than the USA scams a man out of money or help to get an American Visa.

What you can expect from someone scamming you?

A scammer will have an immediate attraction to you. She will often immediately start using words like, I love you or lead you to believe she is ready to marry you. Women that do this are great at making you feel like you are the only man for them. Yet in reality they are speaking to others.

The more guys they can talk to at one time the more potential for making money.

Ask yourself this question. If you met someone for the first time here in the USA and she started to tell you within the first few days of meeting you that she loved you, would you feel comfortable? Most people would say no. So why would someone from another country make you feel any different? You have not met her and you do not really know her true intentions.

Another thing that should raise the red flag is a girl wanting to come to the USA for a visit. These girls know the laws better than we do and know that it is impossible for them to come here for a visit. All she wants is for you to send her the money to pay for a visa that does not exist. She gets the money and you get scammed. If you are not sure, then call the USCIS 1-800-375-5283. They would be happy to explain the immigration laws to you.

Tourist Visa to the USA: After meeting my fiance for the fifth time, I thought it would be easy to try for a B-2 tourist visa to visit the USA. I worked hard at gathering all the needed documents. Yet it only took a few minutes for the embassy to deny her tourist visa. So I dont recommend wasting time or money on it.

If the girl you are talking to starts to mention the need for money in any form. It is time to walk away. Ninety-nine percent of the time, she is a scammer. Best thing to do is tell her you dont want to talk about money so soon and see what happens. Most of the time the girl will disappear or she will start communicating sporadically. Since you are no longer the catch of the day, she will move on to easier prey.

Now it is hard to know for sure, but often times the pictures she sends you are not really her. They can be anyone. You really do not know if that is the true person behind the picture. I have heard stories where the person behind the picture was a guy.

Time for these scammers is limited. They need to get as much money as possible out of you before they are caught.

What happens after you send them money? They completely disappear. You never hear from them and you will never see your money again. No one will investigate your claims and no one will care. The typical method of sending money is through Western Union. All these scammers know the ins and outs of Western Union.

It is a hard life where these girls come from and corruption is wide spread.

These women are really good at what they do. They will have stories or answers to all your questions. It is their profession and they are almost impossible to catch. They will go out on a limb if it means they have a chance of getting some of your money.

To summarize, make sure you meet your fiance many times before trusting her with your money or personal information. One mistake can cost you a lifetime of grief. Keep in mind that although your girl might be showing these signs of being a scammer, she might be legitimate. In my next article I will show you how to know for sure if she is real or not. - 15784
