7 Hot Mens Gift Ideas.

By Peter Albonich

I write about mens gifts and mens gift ideas, and I get asked a lot of questions about buying great gifts for men. And there's one question that comes up more than any other. "What gift do I buy for the man who has enough money to buy anything he wants?"

If a man can buy anything he wants then almost by definition there's not much left he wants, so don't expect him to drop lots of hints about what he wants for his birthday, or Christmas. If he really wants it he's already bought it.

There are also plenty of men who can't quite buy whatever they want, because there's things he wants that he can't afford. This is good and bad. It's good because there's at least some things he really wants, it's bad because often YOU can't afford them either. Ask him to see if there's anything like that.

But lets assume for a moment that your man can afford what he wants, and so you're a little stuck for ideas for unique and unusual birthday gifts or Christmas gifts that are going to get his juices going.

Here's 7 ideas for mens gifts that men love regardless. Now of course not all men are the same, so I can't guarantee that your man will love all 7, but you'll find something there he will love. Some are expensive, some aren't.

1. Lingerie. Now of course I'm not the first person to suggest lingerie as a great gift idea for a man. But it works. Men love to see their women in hot lingerie, so it's a gift for him that you wear for him. I see lots of lists of hot mens gifts ideas and lingerie is always there at or close to number 1. Affordable and it works.

A women can't ever have enough hot lingerie as far as her man is concerned, more is always fine. It's a can't fail mens gift idea, as long as you wear it for him.

And there is wonderful lingerie available for women of any size, so girls it's no excuse to say that you're a little large. If your man loves you large he'll love you large and looking great in some sexy lingerie.

2. An adventure gift. Most men love adrenalin and adventure. Not all, but most. Many women don't realize that there are companies dedicated to providing all sorts of adventure holidays and adventure experiences. They cater to men with a taste for death right down to the more subtle adventure, maybe an outdoor spa for two in a beautiful remote location.

So would your man love to try white water rafting? How about parachute jumping? Or maybe he'd love to try a Zero-G ride like the astronauts do? Perhaps drive a supercar or a tank? There's so many different options.

3. An eco holiday. There is a huge movement worldwide to offer charity and volunteer work that allows him (and you) to travel to remote locations and do all sorts of volunteer things. A holiday in France might be a little - been there done that, but how about a remote location in Africa working with people who are less fortunate than us?

Perhaps he'd like to be in the wilds of Africa working with animals or maybe on a research vessel off the coast of Mexico counting turtles? It's fun, it's really exciting and it's very different. It helps those less fortunate and it's a great holiday and gift idea for him (and why not you too)?

It isn't cheap, but it's a wonderful holiday and one he won't forget for a long time.

4. Chinese art. I used to live in China and I love the artwork that comes out of the country. So many men love art, but good western art is expensive and it's been seen before. Chinese art on the other hand can be wonderful and very different artwork. I just love the Yixing teapots for example, I bought mine for less than $10 each. And my Chinese wall hangings, less than $10 too.

Chinese art is extremely cheap compared to the equivalent in Western art. And it's a mens gift with a difference.

5. And elephant painting is another fine gift for a man who loves his art. These are painted by real Asian elephants on paper made from elephant dung. Believe me, I haven't gone mad, you really can get paintings done by elephants on elephant dung paper, and they look great. They can even paint recognizable objects. And again an elephant painting looks great on the wall, and is a good way to get conversation started at the dining table.

6. And then there's the man who has absolutely everything and doesn't want for anything at all. Buy him a whale. You really can buy him a whale, although delivery is a little problematical, as is wrapping it up. What happens is that there are organizations like the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin trust that track and identify real individual whales and allow you to name a whale or dolphin just for him, so he has his own whale out there somewhere.

And the money goes to help protect the whales, and it's a unique mens gift idea too.

So there you have it, 6 suggestions for great gifts for the man who has everything. Ranging in price from $50 or so, to seriously expensive.

Now you don't have any excuses to say "I have no idea what to buy him for his birthday" any more. - 15784
