Candle Wedding Favor Ideas

By Sophia C.

Your wedding day, one of the most important days in any couples' life together is a time for romance, tradition and sharing your love with the people who mean the most to you - your family and friends. Once you've selected the theme of your wedding, the colors and the date, it's time to start picking out the little touches that will make your wedding stand out and be remembered for all time. You can do this by adding the warm ambiance of candles to your wedding decor that also double as wedding favors for guests to enjoy.

Personalized votives. Personalized wedding decor has always been a traditional way for the bride and groom to make their wedding day special. This can be done by monogramming the bride and groom's initials on everything from wedding stationary to candle votives. For an even nicer touch, try adding some meaningful graphics such as double hearts, rings or doves to these items as well.

Gel candles. There are a large variety of candle wedding favors you can find for your special day. Gel candles, which come in all colors, scents and sizes, make wonderful wedding favors. Gel candles are known for giving off a much better scent when lit. You can even find some that have little things inside like flowers, seashells or gems to make your wedding day sparkle.

Heart shaped candles. If you are planning a wedding that is romantic, you may want to use many heart themed items in your decor. You can get heart shaped candles and votives in all different colors and sizes. Try placing a handful into a bowl filled with clear glass gems and lighting just a few at a time. Or wrap richly scented heart candles in small organza bags and give them to guests as they enter your wedding reception. Then guests can take home the unlit candles for later on to celebrate their own romantic dates.

Floating candle tea lights. These marvelous candles will make your wedding day even more wonderful. If you are having a beach or summer themed wedding, you many want to place them inside plastic sand pails or even frisbees filled with sand or colored water. You can float them in pools, large urns, bowls or glass vases wherever guests may see them. Then after the wedding event, guests can take them home to use in their own decor.

Sand candles. Do you remember all those summers spent at the beach on favorite family vacations? Well bring that feeling to your wedding day by using wedding candle favors made out of sand. They come in lots of imaginative shapes from sand castles to shells and other beach themed ideas. You may want to set them onto special bowls or glass candle holders so that wedding guests can take them home.

Planning a romantic wedding is as simple as thinking of all those special little touches that you want your guests to remember. By using candles as part of your dcor and wedding favors, you will share the love and warmth of your special day that guests will remember always. - 15784
