What it Takes to Have Your Dream Wedding

By Samantha Jones

Planning your dream wedding can take a toll on your sanity! Most agree that making plans for a dream wedding can cause huge stress and aggravation, as this big day gets closer.

One of the most important details of the wedding is the actual wedding date. This is usually the detail that is taken care of first. Factors in choosing a date include the availability of the venue where the wedding will take place and availability of friends and family on the assigned date.

It is also advisable to set a budget before you start to make plans. This way you're able to organize the details according to your budget.

Some locations will provide discounts for weddings on days when weddings are not in high volume. Sometimes the time of the day or night has to do with how much it cost. An example of this would be the mornings and the afternoons are much cheaper for receptions than the nights are.

Venues can offer discounts depending on the time of year. Just after the holidays could be a good time to hold a wedding if you are considering the cost. This time is not considered a 'peak time', therefore the price tends to be less expensive.

It's important to talk to your fianc?e about the size of your wedding. Your dream wedding might not be your fianc?e's. So it's necessary for you to discuss details such as the location of the venue/reception, the number of people who get invited to the wedding/reception, and the choice of entertainment.

You need to agree on how many guests are on the list. You need to know if you want a small intimate wedding, or a large affair with all the friends of the family. If you want a real grand affair, it will include family and friends, relatives you have not seen for years, everyone in the neighborhood, and even high school friends need to be invited. As you are making your guest list, think about the space that your desired location has available for your reception.

You may want your special moments on your wedding day to be captured forever by a professional. You might have friends that have good home equipment for pictures, even a video camera. But for your wedding day you may want better photos that are presented nicely for your keeping. This is also a good way for your family and friends to get copies too.

Don't forget the cake! It's a good idea to have a tasting first, before settling on a cake. Invite your family and friends for the cake tasting. This way, this task becomes fun for everyone!

Decide on whether you are going to order wedding invitations or do them yourself. You can always print your own if you have a design in mind. This is the way you can actually add your own personal creative touch!

When it comes to your wedding dress you need to start looking many months before the event. It takes time to order it and get it in, and then it usually needs to be taken in or up by an alterations person. The groom should make sure the tuxes for all the men are ordered in plenty of time too, this will insure that they fit right.

If you do not have the time or the patience to do all the planning, you can hire the services of a wedding planner. You get everything organized and coordinated for you. If you decide to do this, you will have to plan the expense of the wedding planner in your budget. - 15784
